Questions
Is this only about Windows?
No. Hotfix Desk covers Windows and Linux fixes, plus tutorials and full courses for free software like Kdenlive, Audacity and OBS Studio.
How do the courses work?
Each course is a list of lessons in order. Tick them off as you go and your progress is saved in your browser.
Do I need administrator rights?
Some guides do. They say "Needs administrator" at the top and show how to open an admin terminal.
Are the commands safe to run?
They use standard tools like SFC, DISM, netsh and apt. Read each step first, and create a restore point before bigger changes. There is a guide for that.
Does this work on Windows 10 and 11?
Guides are written for both. Menu names can differ between versions and updates, so check the Updated date, and look for the Tested on badge, which appears only when a guide was checked on that version.
